Pediatric Support.
Occupational Therapy takes an approach that empowers children to navigate their daily activities more easily. For those on different developmental paths, OT can help with handwriting, making friends, focusing, and providing long-term support for disabilities. If you, or anyone involved in your child’s care and education (like teachers, speech pathologists, doctors, or paediatricians), have concerns about your child’s development or daily life, Occupational Therapy sessions can be a valuable source of support.

How we can support your child.
Assessments: We conduct initial assessments to understand your child's developmental progress and needs. These sessions last about 1.5 hours and include standardised and non-standardised tests tailored to our child's requirements. A comprehensive report is then written and customised to the purpose of the assessment.
One-on-One Home Consultations: Our holistic approach includes conducting sessions in your home to support your child in their familiar environment. After starting one-on-one sessions, your child’s occupational therapist will review the information gathered and set goals for your parent planning meeting. An intervention plan will be created and regularly updated to meet the goals. The OT may also suggest activities, tools, or strategies for home or school use to help your child practice their skills. Additional services like group programs may be recommended if they align with your child’s goals.
School Consultations: Besides home visits, we offer school consultations to observe your child's participation in class. This helps identify which skills to focus on during one-on-one sessions and allows us to collaborate with teachers on how best to support and engage your child.
School-Based One-on-One Sessions: If more convenient, our Occupational Therapist can conduct one-on-one sessions during school hours, depending on our availability and whether we work with your child's school.
School and Preschool Screenings: We conduct screenings at schools and preschools to identify students who may need extra developmental support. These screenings involve fun tasks that help determine which children could benefit from additional help.
